Terms of Service
The basic terms that apply to this website and to work performed by Primewire Electric.
Last updated September 2026These terms apply to your use of this website and describe how we generally work. Any electrical work we perform for you is governed primarily by the written estimate or contract for that job — if anything here conflicts with your signed estimate, the estimate controls.
About this website
The content on this site describes the services we offer and the areas we cover. It is provided for general information and is not electrical advice for your specific situation. Electrical work is hazardous and is regulated; nothing on this site should be read as an invitation to perform work yourself. Service lists are representative, not exhaustive, and are not an offer or guarantee that we can take on a particular job.
Estimates and quotes
Estimates are free and carry no obligation. An estimate is based on the scope and conditions known at the time we prepare it. If we open a wall, pull a panel cover, or otherwise find conditions that were not visible when we quoted — deteriorated wiring, undersized service, previous non-code work, concealed damage — we will stop, explain what we found, and give you a revised price before continuing. Estimates are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise, since material prices move.
Scheduling and access
We schedule as tightly as the work allows and will tell you if we are running behind. Emergency calls can move a scheduled appointment; we will contact you if that happens. You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the work area, and to let us know about pets, alarm systems, or anything else on site we should know about before we arrive.
Licensing, permits and inspection
We are a licensed and insured electrical contractor and a master electrician is responsible for the company’s work. Where a job requires a permit, we pull it and coordinate inspection unless your written estimate says otherwise. We do not perform work that cannot be done to code.
Payment
Payment terms appear on your estimate or invoice. Larger projects may require a deposit or progress payments. Invoices are due on the terms stated; unpaid balances may accrue interest and collection costs as permitted by Virginia law.
Warranty
We warrant our workmanship, and equipment we install carries whatever warranty the manufacturer provides. Extended and tiered warranty coverage is available on some installations — ask us when we quote your job and we will put the terms in writing. Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, alteration by others, storm or utility events, or pre-existing conditions we identified and you chose not to address.
Limits
Except as required by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the work at issue, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost business or spoiled inventory. Nothing in these terms limits liability for injury caused by negligence where the law does not allow that limit.
Changes
We may update these terms as our business or this website changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
